The Rafina Port Authority S.A. is progressing intensively with the procedures for the licensing of the Waterway at the port of Agia Marina Grammatiko, having completed most of the required actions to date.
A brief history:
- Following the issuance of the updated law 4146/2013 on "Creating a Friendly Development Environment for Strategic and Private Investments and other provisions", the management of OLR S.A. proceeded to issue a Decision of the Board of Directors of OLR S.A. (No. Decision 14.11b/19.12.2013), in order to initiate all the required actions for the issuance of the license for the Waterway of the port of Agia Marina Grammatiko.
- In March 2014, the company "Hellenic Waterways" was assigned the licensing of the Waterway.
- Subsequently, OLR SA proceeded with the preparation of the installation study for the floating pier of the Waterfront.
- On March 13, 2015, the General Directorate of Spatial Planning and Environmental Policy of the Decentralized Administration of Attica issued the Approval of the Environmental Terms of the project: "Preparation of an Environmental Impact Study for the Port of Agia Marina under the jurisdiction of OLR SA", with ADA:6P2HOP1K-ΞΚ5.
- In April 2016, the installation of the Waterfront's floating pier was completed.
- Finally, OLR SA proceeded to change the internal arrangements of the Agia Marina port service building in order to house the Waterfront service offices within which passenger check-in and screening will take place.
Today, all the above actions have been completed and very soon we will procure, through the preliminary tender process, a Magnetic Gate and an X-Ray machine, which will be installed within the Waterfront's service office for the screening of passengers and luggage.
After the supply and installation of the above equipment, we will proceed with the written notification of the Waterways Commission in order to carry out the inspection provided for by Law 4146/2013, with the aim of issuing the Waterway license.
