Today, Tuesday, September 20, an anti-pollution exercise was held at the Old Port of Rafina. The organization and execution of the extremely useful exercise was undertaken by the company New Naval, which is responsible for providing marine pollution prevention and suppression services in all areas under the jurisdiction of O.L.R. S.A.

As every year, an information session in the form of a seminar was initially held at the offices of the Hellenic Coast Guard, the Rafina Port Authority, the municipality of Rafina Pikermi and the municipality of Spata Artemisa at the Hellenic Coast Guard Office, followed by a practical exercise to deal with a pollution incident in the port's marine area.
In addition to the training of the Administrative - Technical and Labor personnel who will participate in the prevention and suppression of marine pollution, the company New Naval undertakes, whenever deemed necessary, the revision of the Contingency Plan for Contingency of Pollution Incidents from Petroleum Products and other harmful substances at the port facilities of the Rafina Port Authority S.A. and is responsible for the organization of the existing anti-pollution equipment so that it is in immediate readiness daily and throughout the 24 hours.
