European programms
The EU, in its effort to unify the European Space, promotes those policies at an institutional or operational level so that the Member States, by adopting or integrating them, tend towards this central political choice.
These policies are implemented either through European Directives and Regulations or through European Programs that concern all Member States or a group of them, so as to simultaneously achieve the goal of cooperation and mutual understanding between them.
European Corridors
The Commission today adopted a proposal that will transform the current patchwork of European road networks, railways, airport and canal in a integrated transport network (TEN-T)The new core network will have no bottlenecks, its infrastructure will be upgraded and cross-border transport for passengers and businesses harmonised across the EU. The new core network will have improved connections between different modes of transport and will contribute to achieving the EU's climate change objectives by reducing CO2 emissions from transport.
FUTUREMED Strategic Project
The second meeting of the National Committee of Maritime and Combined Transport Stakeholders was successfully organized on Thursday, April 2, 2015, within the framework of the FutureMED project of the Mediterranean Area (MED) Programme of the European Territorial Cooperation, implemented by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Networks, within the framework of the Strategic Project FUTUREMED (Freight and passengers supporting infomobiliTy systems for a sustainable improvement of the competitiveness of port-hinterland systems of the MED).
