Η Association of Greek Ports (E.LIM.E.), is the collective expression of all Greek Port Organizations, regardless of their legal form.

It was founded in 2002 with the objective of addressing and promoting all issues concerning Greek ports within the framework of the Greek, European and International Port industry.

E.LIM.E., at its Board of Directors meeting (September 15, 2011), decided to emphasize its new form of organization, according to the standards of European Ports Association of which he is a member.

Particular emphasis was placed on an organization that would allow it to effectively address the development of the cruise from the Greek Ports.

The reason is that we consider that the cruise industry is the most dynamic and emerging industry of our country's tourism industry. Therefore, Greek ports, as a natural reception area, have a dominant role to play in its development.

It is therefore considered self-evident that the decision-making body under establishment that will operate under E.LIM.E., the “Cruise Ports Committee”, should not only consist of the cruise destination ports, which are already members of E.LIM.E., but also of the Port Funds that manage cruise destination ports with very significant traffic.

The Greek ports, cruise destinations, which is among the founding members of E.LIM.E. is the Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, Volos, Corfu, Igoumenitsa and Kavala.

The Port Funds which are managed cruise destination ports and which were invited to become members of E.LIM.E.E and by extension to be represented on the Cruise Ports Committee are the Port Funds Thira, Mykonos, South Dodecanese (Rhodes), Patmos, Kos, Pyrgos (Katakolo), Chania Prefecture, Milos, Lesvos, Nafplio, Samos, Kefalonia - Ithaca, Rethymno, Chios, Syros and Kalamata.

Her desire and intention E.LIM.E. is the programming of integration based on specific criteria and others cruise ports in the future, so that all issues concerning this dynamic sector of our economy can be addressed collectively.
