Syros Municipal Port Fund (M.L.T.S.)
The purpose of the Syros Municipal Port Fund is to organize and operate the ports with modern infrastructure so that they meet the demands of passengers, ships and cargo.
To achieve the above, the Hellenic Port Authority ensures that existing port infrastructure is maintained and improved and that the construction of new infrastructure is promoted where necessary.
It also takes care of the equipment of the ports and of any undertaking of activities related to port work in its area of responsibility.
It provides services related to the docking of ships and the movement of passengers, vehicles and cargo.
Syros Municipal Port Fund
The Municipal Port Fund of Syros is a Legal Entity under Public Law based in the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupolis and has responsibilities on the islands of Syros, Kea, Kythnos and Serifos.
It is responsible for the installation, organization and operation of all types of port infrastructure.
The port of Syros is connected daily to Piraeus with two ferry routes, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The routes are operated with modern and comfortable passenger-carrying ships. At the same time, it is also connected to the rest of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese. Ferry passengers can issue their tickets from the ticket offices of all ferry companies located near the port.
