Elefsina Port Authority (OLE)
The Port of Eleusis is one of the oldest in Europe, as excavations and archaeological finds attest to its operation since the Classical Era (500 BC). It is located on the northwestern coast of the Saronic Gulf, in the southeastern part of the mainland, 14 kilometers from Piraeus.
In 1923, the Elefsina Port Fund was established, the port management body, in 1992, by decision of the Minister of Merchant Shipping, it was classified in the A' category of Ports of National Importance and in 2001 it was transformed into the Elefsina Port Organization S.A. by Law 2932/2001. The port of Elefsina is located at the western end of the Attica Peninsula and in the center of the homonymous Gulf of Elefsina.

The Port of Elefsina Organization, was established as a S.A. in 2003 with a concession contract from the Greek State for the use and exploitation of the port zone that extends to approximately 200 acres. This is a port that has been characterized by the Greek State as of national importance since 1992, both for its strategic role in the formulation of national port policy and for its advantageous geographical location.

Eleusis is a major commitment for OLE S.A. to combine Development with Environmental protection and to be recognized with international certification as a Green Port.
The Organization is proceeding with the process of actions, activities, synergies, etc. for the implementation of measures concerning the Port and Sustainable Development, in combination with the possibilities of producing added value.
The entire process that is being followed regarding the Strategic and Operational Plan of the Organization and in accordance with the basic guidelines of the medium-term action plan, in addition to the proposed development initiatives and the integrated integration of the SES, also moves along a parallel axis of reference: the investigation and integration into various financial tools (national - community - transnational) in order for all Actions - actions to have positive results in this specific direction.
