Corfu Port Authority (CPA)

The Port of Corfu has a historical development path of 135 years and its gradual creation lies in temporarily covering the emerging needs of each era. The natural location of the island of Corfu, its commercial and economic activities, as well as the various socio-political developments in the wider region in recent years, also determine the activities of the main gateway for the movement of people and goods on the island, which is its port.

Thus, the development of the port of Corfu to date and its emerging prospects for the future, determine its role as a port of national importance more in the sectors of coastal shipping and tourist traffic and less in the sector of goods movement.

The port of Corfu, It mainly provides services related to the docking of ships and the movement of passengers and vehicles. It is also responsible for the aesthetic design and smooth operation of the port's land area and the collection of waste within the port area.

The Port of Corfu brings together almost all the activities that characterize a port as primarily passenger and touristic. Specifically, the main activities of the port are:

Service of E/C-O/C ships on Greece - Italy routes, for the movement of passengers and vehicles of all categories (trucks, buses, passenger cars, motorcycles).
Service of E/C-O/C ships on international routes to third countries (Albania), for the movement of passengers and vehicles.
Cruise ship service.
Servicing day boats and other tourist vessels that operate tourist itineraries in the Northern Ionian sea area.
Cargo ship service for loading and unloading goods.
Service of open or closed type coastal ships, which provide maritime communication between Corfu and mainland Greece (Igoumenitsa) and the adjacent smaller islands (Paxos, Diapontia Islands), for the transport of passengers and vehicles.
