The Administration of the Port of Elefsina (OLE) S.A. extends an invitation to companies operating in Western Attica to choose to transport their goods through the Port of Elefsina in order to reduce the time and cost of transporting cargo and enhance their competitiveness.
Specifically, in a letter to the Association of Businesses and Industries of Western Attica, the CEO of OLE SA, Mr. Apostolos Kamarinakis, informs the business community about the advantages of transporting bulk and general cargo through the central commercial Port of Elefsina in combined freight transport (port-road network).
In his statement, Mr. Kamarinakis states:
"The Elefsina Port Authority S.A. is the first public commercial port management body to develop marketing to promote its port services, aiming to increase its turnover. In this context and with a view to the development and support of entrepreneurship, OLE S.A. took the initiative and, as a member of the Association of Businesses and Industries of Western Attica, informs companies about the alternative option of transporting goods by sea, through the port infrastructure of Elefsina, as a reliable and more economical solution."
The comparative advantages of the Port of Elefsina include:
- direct access to major road networks (Athens-Corinth National Road, Attica Motorway),
- proximity to the Thriasio field where the largest logistics park in the country is being created,
- short distance from the center of the capital (25 km),
- experience and flexible working hours of the port services of OLE SA for immediate service to the market.
On behalf of the Association of Businesses and Industries of Western Attica (EEVIDA), Mr. Elias Moustairas, President of the Board of Directors of the Union, stated:
"We welcome the initiative and invitation of the Management of OLE SA to businesses operating in Western Attica to choose to transport their goods through the Port of Elefsina. The mutual synergies between the two entities (OLE - EEVIDA) are particularly important in the effort to develop local entrepreneurship and signal the joint effort to serve and facilitate the market, as much as possible, in the field of providing port services for the transport of bulk and general cargo through the Port of Elefsina.
