O.L.K. S.A. PRESS RELEASE: “The company is committed to a series of development actions in the port of Kavala”

04/06/2026 Following the recent visit of the Deputy Managing Director of the Superfund, Mr. P. Stamboulidis, to all -three- port facilities under the administration, management and operation of OLA SA, and in light of the constructive conclusions that emerged, which were also made public in relevant very clear statements by the aforementioned representative of our Shareholder, the Organization notes the following:

  • Our company is committed to a series of development actions in the port of Kavala "Apostolos Pavlos", with the most important among them being the supply and installation of floating platforms in the central Port for the docking of large tourist boats, from its own resources. The reinvestment of its cash available for OLK SA validates the dividend to the local community, significantly upgrades the tourist profile of the seafront and significantly enhances the income of professionals in the area
  • The completion of repair and other significant restoration projects at the Port of Keramoti, ensuring the integrity and safety of passengers and goods, signals the prioritization of OLA S.A. in substantive projects. Similar restorations have been implemented (or are being carried out) in parts of the Port of Nea Peramos, while planned plans for the optimal exploitation of our assets are underway.
  • The confirmation of the Organization's current development momentum, including announced actions and concessions, is based on a rational business plan that complies with legality on the one hand, and with the declared goals of our Shareholder on the other, far from demagogic practices and selfish perceptions.
  • The maintenance of the current ownership status (based on the concession agreement of the Greek State) in the land zone of the central Port of Kavala is non-negotiable for the management of OLK SA and its Shareholder.
  • The effort to relocate the Kavala Customs House from the iconic building complex that dominates the eastern end of the Port, a request fully in line with the expectations of local entrepreneurship, social partners and productive entities, continues uninterrupted. Developments are imminent.
  • In the near future, the completion of the master plan of the Central Port is expected, the product of an extensive and thorough inclusive process, so that it can be put on track for approval as soon as possible.
  • Last but not least, following relevant statements by the Deputy CEO of the Superfund, the issue of the former open-air swimming pool (owned by the OCLC) is returning to the center of public debate with the sole aim of its functional utilization for the benefit of citizens and visitors to the coastal front.

In all of the above, but also for each of our actions, the Organization's sole guiding principle remains the defense of the public interest, harmonized with social sensitivity and environmental awareness.

From the Management of O.L.K. S.A.
