O.L.L. S.A.: “Approval by the leadership of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy of three important projects for the port of Lavrio”.

The Port of Lavrio Authority S.A. is pleased to announce the approval by the leadership of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy of three important projects for the port of Lavrio.

More specifically:
1) The project to install floating jetties and floating piers in the Tourist Boat Sector of OLL SA was approved by the Ministry of National Infrastructure and Transport.
This project, in addition to being important for the development of OLL S.A., is estimated to create more than 150 jobs and contribute approximately 30 million euros in additional turnover to the local market.
It is noted that this project was first announced by the former Minister, Mr. Yiannis Plakiotakis, and there was a commitment from the Prime Minister that it would be implemented as soon as possible.
For the final approval of the project, the competent Services of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy worked intensively, coordinated by the Secretary General, Mr. Evangelos Kyriazopoulos, in order to implement the commitment of the Prime Minister, with the signature of the current Minister of Shipping, Mr. Christos Stylianides.

2) In addition, the project of constructing a new KYE on the site of the former “KORALLI” building was approved by Mr. Secretary General Evangelos Kyriazopoulos. The construction of the new KYE will provide ten new jobs to the local community and will complement the services provided by OLL SA in the tourism sector and in particular to cruise passengers and charterers of tourist boats.

3) Finally, the leadership of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy has included in the PDP the project to widen the eastern Finger Pier, which will be financed by the NSRF of the Attica Region. With this project, OLL S.A. creates a new additional berthing location for medium-sized cruise ships.

The Management of OLL SA feels the need to thank the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr. Christos Stylianides, and the Secretary General of Shipping and Ports, Mr. Evangelos Kyriazopoulos, for their unwavering support and is committed to working intensively with the Shareholder (HRADF) for the fastest possible implementation of these specific projects.
