The Extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders of PPA S.A. was held today in accordance with the prescribed procedures and with the participation of shareholders representing 81,78% of the Company's share capital.
During the meeting, it was clarified that it is necessary to amend the specific articles so that the Articles of Association are in line with modern business practices, the strategic evolution of the ports, logistics and infrastructure sectors, as well as the long-term development goals of the Company. The General Assembly approved, with a percentage of 99,94%, the relevant amendments.
In his statement, the Company's President Mr. Han Chao noted:
"Following the steady upward trajectory of PPA S.A., we are proceeding with the modernization of our Articles of Association, with the aim of creating the necessary conditions for the further development of PPA S.A. and the implementation of the Company's long-term strategy.
Our main goal remains the promotion of investments and projects that are foreseen and approved in the Master Plan.
The possibility of establishing a subsidiary contributes to the further upgrading of supply chain services (logistics), a sector of particular importance for the future of the Company.
At the same time, the forecasts regarding the possibility of participating in companies in Greece or abroad do not concern any specific project or investment plan at this time.
They create a modern and flexible framework, which will allow the Company to evaluate opportunities compatible with its strategy and long-term goals.
Today's amendment to the Articles of Association therefore constitutes another step that strengthens our ability to plan and invest with a long-term perspective, for the benefit of the Company, the shareholders and the Greek economy."
