PLO S.A. PRESS RELEASE: PLO S.A. published the 2025 Sustainable Development Report

15 July 2026. Piraeus Port Authority S.A. continues to systematically invest in the sustainable development and modernization of the Port of Piraeus, integrating the principles of Environment, Society and Corporate Governance (ESG) into its strategy and operation. In this context, it published the Sustainable Development Report for the year 2025, which was prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), transparently reflecting its performance, initiatives and goals, in the three pillars of sustainability.

During 2025, PPA S.A. proceeded with the implementation of a series of important actions that further strengthened its strategy for responsible business development and contributed to the formation of a modern and resilient development model.

On the pillar "Society", The concession consideration to the Greek State exceeded 9 million euros in 2025, while donations and sponsorships within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility exceeded 730 thousand euros.

At the same time, PPA S.A. held the first "Kunpeng Scholarship" award ceremony, awarding scholarships to ten first-year students from neighboring municipalities. In addition, it distributed 5.000 Christmas gift certificates to children from the local community and to families of workers in the shipbuilding and repair industry.

As part of its commitment to defending the rights of all passengers, PPA S.A. collaborated with the Institute of the National Confederation of Persons with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases (IN-ESAmeA) to implement a specialized training program on serving passengers with disabilities, chronic diseases and reduced mobility. The program was attended by more than 1.000 company employees.

On the pillar "Environment", Following the implementation of the first National Climate Law and the issuance of the new Environmental Terms Approval Decision of PPA S.A., the Climate Change Hardening and Adaptation Study for the port of Piraeus was completed. At the same time, the implementation of an Action Plan for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the entire port area is underway.

On the pillar "Governance", PPA S.A. integrated sustainability goals into its overall corporate strategy, introduced relevant criteria in the Procurement Regulation and implemented specialized training programs for members of the Management and its human resources.

PPA S.A.'s steadfast commitment to the principles of sustainability and operational excellence was also reflected in the significant distinctions it received in 2025. These include its recognition as "Industry Leader – Port Organizations" in "Protagonists of the Greek Economy" Awards, ensures 2nd Best Public Benefit Company Award in "MONEY 2025 Business Awards", three distinctions in Compliance Awards 2025 (gold in the categories «Best Compliance Team in Port (The Harbour District) Services Sector» and «Most Impactful Socials Initiative», and bronze in the category «Best Compliance Management»), as well as its recognition, for the fourth consecutive year, as "One of the Most Sustainable Companies in Greece» Companies from the QualityNet Foundation. Of particular importance was also the distinction ESG Leading Award, in Diamonds of the Greek Economy 2025 – ESG Awards, organized by the Maritime.
