The aim is to create more and better-paid jobs, so that young people can plan their future in their place, with real opportunities for professional and social development. At the same time, the development potential of the port contributes more broadly to the economic development of the region, creating added value for businesses and citizens. In this context, the strategic investment for the expansion of Pier 6 constitutes the central lever for the implementation of this vision, securing the position of the Port of Thessaloniki as a leading commercial and transit hub in Southeastern Europe.”
